This is one of the first pieces from roughly about 7 years ago . . . it has gone through many evolutions, but for the most part the energy has stayed the same, only more refined with each new layer . . . Originally this piece was called Electromagnetism, but as it changed, it became known as Tesla’s Coil . . . in a way it is a meditation upon what it must feel like if one’s awareness was vibrating within a Tesla Coil.
As usual, I had no intention on working on this piece this weekend, but Saturday, during the Metropolitan Artist Market, it decided to call out through the inspiration of the crowd and collection of artist. It is now close to completion thanks to a wonderful event put on by Studioplex 47 . . . thank you for a great afternoon.
Couldn’t help myself … this place is a wonder …
And I hope it continues to be a wonder as well as respected for what it is. A Sacred Memory of what once was, and what we are all trying to get back to . . . the world we envisioned living within as kids, as students, as adults looking out upon the Universe in a sense of awe. Remember . . .
All Plaques: HD Prints mounted on wood with bevelled color edges
It has taken about 3 years to find a reproduction method that lives up to my high standards. Each piece has been scanned in High Definition and printed from Gallery Street. Each print is then mounted at Atlanta Plaque Art on Masonite with edges bevelled and hand painted to match the piece.
As an Artist in Atlanta, it is my goal to have all of my work presented and reproduced by Artisans within the Atlanta Arts community. Both Gallery Street and Atlanta Plaque Art are establishments that both share the Mom and Pop feel we choose to do business with. In the end, we are left with a high quality piece crafted within the Atlanta Market.
