The time has come to create space for a new chapter in my story. I’m retiring my existing collection of artistic reproductions. As of June 30th, prints, plaques, and giclees of the 8 pieces below will no longer be produced.
Each of these original pieces is a reflection of my experiences over the past 6 years. BuddhaHead and MonkeyMind gave me focus, balance, and direction; Mulahdara kept me rooted on the ground, while Ajna took my imagination into the Great Wide Something. The Truth pointed me toward the world I wish to call home, as Sunstone helped me look the Apocalypse in the eye and place a dunce cap on its head. Shock & Awe and SkeletonKey, like Dionysus crashing upon Loki and Odin, well, you just had to be there.
. . . things change; evolution happens!
Keep up with it or be left behind.
Ganapati (aka Ganesha) … Remover of Obstacles
My newest piece is Ganesha at the moment he consciously decides to break his tusk. He promised Vyasa that he would transcribe Vyasa’s poem uninterrupted while it was recited. In the rush of writing, Ganesha broke his feather pen and, without missing a beat, broke off his own tusk and used it to continue writing as promised, uninterrupted.
This piece represents a conscious breaking free of the dualistic symmetries I’ve been working with for the past 10 years. As the tusk breaks, the mind opens and is released from duality. Symmetry, though beautiful and balanced, if not allowed to evolve, will become a prison. To move forward is to consciously let go. I am now free. Ganesha breaks on through, clearing the path before me…
