One of the things I most love to do is paint LIVE . . .
Through time, I have been weaving paintings through the various events of my life. From Alchemy, to CoLAB, through Area 51 and CoSM, I paint the moment through capturing the energy from the crowd and channel it into my Mandalas.
When I am asked to paint LIVE, the night of the event, I bring whichever paintings feel right,. Sometimes BuddhaHead . . . sometimes Sunstone . . . sometimes many, sometimes a few. I try to match the theme of the event with the pieces I bring. They evolve over time, from event to event telling a story to those that see them. The evolving paintings become a woven story of my exploration into my own spiritual self entwined with the stories of my friends and families that experience the birth of each of pieces. The gestation of a form and experiencing its growth.
I find this an interesting new dimension in art. Most artists work on a piece and finish it and are done with it. My pieces travel with me and become my recording device, the cloud of my imagination, a map of my journey through this life. A creation of feedback loops within my memory that have deeper sensory foundations woven through my imagery and symbols. A more dynamic means of memorization and recall.
There is no better time to record my life then when I am painting LIVE at an Event.
And through my life, reflect all those I experience. The ebb and flow of the dance that is you and I.
“When you die, all you can take with you are your memories . . . “
